About Dharma Patel
As an aspiring architect and current student at the University of Cincinnati's College of Design, Architecture, Art, and Planning (DAAP), I am passionate about designing spaces that promote inclusivity and improve the quality of life for communities. With a developing background in design thinking, spatial analysis, and building technology, I am committed to creating innovative and sustainable solutions that address the challenges of the built environment. During my time at DAAP, I have gained hands-on experience through various design studios and volunteer work in the community, further fueling my drive to make a positive impact through architecture. I am eager to continue my growth and contribute my skills and perspectives to the field.
In my spare time, I am heavily involved in the University of Cincinnati community. During my undergrad, I was the Graphics Coordinator in Kappa Kappa Gamma Sorority. Kappa Kappa Gamma helps fundraise for the JED Foundation, which supports the mental health of adolescents and young adults. In addition, I was a team leader in Students Consulting for Nonprofit Organizations (SCNO). My team and I were tasked to revitalize the interface of GLADhouse a nonprofit organization dedicated to preventing addiction in children and teenagers. I also served on the Programs and Activities Council's (PAC) Events Committee, where I played an important role in organizing diverse and engaging free events for UC students. Outside of school, traveling, exploring, and learning are what I love the most! My favorite place I have been to is Iceland!
